The Sisters of Charity We still have available in the Rectory, the debut album from Our Sisters. Many of the Sisters that contributed their talent to the making of this album have lived at the Assumption Convent and have taught our children through the years.  The Sister’s have created an album of some of the most beautiful and inspirational music you will hear. Open you Home to an International Student: Education First’s Educational Homestay Program id bringing students from France, Spain, China and Hong Kong to the Greater Hartford area this summer to study English and experience our American culture. This is a 3 week program.

WJMJ-FM, the radio station of the Archdiocese of Hartford, will be conducting its semi-annual radiothon to raise operating capital, July 7th –July 10th.  As an educational, noncommercial radio station, we are prohibited from airing commercials, so we must rely on the support from our listeners to continue this valuable ministry of evangelization. Crafters Wanted: The 25th Annual St Francis of Assisi Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, September 25th on the church grounds in South Windsor. East Catholic Carnival scheduled for June has been moved to August 3rd – August 7th due to extenuating circumstances with the Town of Manchester. If you have taken a sponsorship, they will be honored for the new dates.

This event features carnival rides, games, food and fun for the whole family.

 

Assumption School: We have completed another successful School year.  The children are off enjoying their summer vacation.

While they are away, let’s not forget the new School year is just around the corner.

Donations are needed all year long.

There are fund raising programs running throughout the summer, such as our  Pre-paid  Shopping Cards, for every card sold, the children receive a proceed. This is a great program, we all have to shop, why not help the Parish children while doing it.

Vacation Bible Camp: St. Bartholomew’s is hosting the only Catholic Vacation Bible Camp in Manchester on August 9th -13th from 8:30am – 11-30am. The cost is $15.00 per child or $25.00 per family. This year the theme is the High Seas Expedition. Spaces are available for Grades 1-5.

Bingo Players Needed! Please join us in the Assumption Church Hall every Tuesday from 6:30pm-9:30pm for a fun evening of Bingo.

The doors and the kitchen open at 5:00pm

Before the game, you can try one of Bob’s famous burgers or Romeo’s hot dogs. In addition, coffee, tea, sundaes and cookies are also available. Bring your family, friends and neighbors. Children Welcomed

All proceeds are donated to Assumption School for the support of Catholic Education.
