CROP HUNGER
WALK
Ending Hunger One Step at a Time
On Sunday, October 16th, in Manchester, there will be a CROP
Hunger Walk, to raise funds to fight hunger at home and around the world.
CROP stands for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty.
Over 2000 walks take place throughout the United States, they are
sponsored by Church World Service, a cooperative ministry and refugee
assistance worldwide.
The Manchester walk is organized by MACC Charities, with 25% of the
funds raised staying with MACC to fight hunger in our community.
The walk will start at South United Methodist Church at 1:00pm and run
along Main Street to ST. Bridget’s and then back to South United.
Please join us in making this year’s walk successful. With the slumping
economy and 2011 weather events, MACC needs our help more than ever.
Tables for donations and to sign up to walk will be set up after Masses
on the weekends of October 8th and October 16th.
If you have any questions about participation in this event contact:
